DI + BE + ROP = Good Business

Disability income insurance (DI) provides a monthly benefit that reimburses the policyowners for a portion of their income in the event of an income-interrupting disability due to illness or injury. Combine DI with a Business expense (BE) policy, and you can offer business owner clients broader DI coverage with advantages and discounts, too.

ROP Available for Both DI and BE Plans!

Adding the Return of Premium (ROP) rider (available at additional cost) to a DI + BE plan, can be the answer to overcoming the objection: What if I never need to file a DI claim and pay years of premiums for something I may never use?

  • ROP provides DI coverage if your client needs it, and money back if not.
  • Beginning with the fifth policy year, the policyowner is eligible to receive a portion of the premiums paid, less any benefits received.
  • From ages 65 to 67, the policyowner is eligible to receive a refund of 100% of policy premiums paid, less any benefits received.
  • The policy ends after the return of premium is paid and may not be reinstated.
