Georgia Wildfire Disaster Event

Recently, residents of Georgia were impacted by wildfires that occurred on April 22, 2026.

For our policyowners:

Effective immediately, the following actions are applicable until July 22, 2026 for all affected policyowners in these Georgia counties, Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Baker, Ben Hill, Berrien, Bibb, Bleckley, Brantley, Brooks, Bryan, Bulloch, Burke, Calhoun, Camden, Candler, Charlton, Chatham, Chattahoochee, Clay, Clinch, Coffee, Colquitt, Columbia, Cook, Crawford, Crisp, Decatur, Dodge, Dooly, Dougherty, Early, Echols, Effingham, Emanuel, Evans, Glascock, Glynn, Grady, Harris, Houston, Irwin, Jeff Davis, Jefferson, Jenkins, Johnson, Lanier, Laurens, Lee, Liberty, Long, Lowndes, Macon, Marion, McDuffie, McIntosh, Miller, Mitchell, Montgomery, Muscogee, Peach, Pierce, Pulaski, Quitman, Randolph, Richmond, Screven, Schley, Seminole, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Tattnall, Taylor, Telfair, Terrell, Thomas, Tift, Toombs, Treutlan, Turner, Twiggs, Ware, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Webster, Wheeler, Wilcox, Wilkinson, and Worth and any other counties that subsequently declare an emergency due to these wildfires in Georgia:

Extensions on payment of premium. Policyowners in Georgia may defer premium payments that come due, interest free, until July 22, 2026. Any cancellation or lapse notices you receive may be ignored if the lapse or cancellation date is prior to July 22, 2026. Premium should be paid by July 22, 2026.
Extensions on other time limits. Illinois Mutual is extending the time periods for taking other actions that have time limits, such as the submission of a claim, proof of loss or other information, up to and including July 22, 2026.
